The so-called duty-paid price is the price including the shipping fee. For example, the cost of goods is NT$1,500, and the shipping fee is NT$600. The total cost is NT$2,100. If it exceeds NT$2,000, taxes must be paid. The consignee or holder of imported goods is the taxpayer of the business tax, and the business tax to be paid shall be collected by the customs.

The import tax of health care products and food is 30%, the import tax of medicine is 5%, and the business tax is 5%. Business tax must be paid for both personal use and sales. For other items and subsequent tax rate changes, please refer to the tax rate inquiry of the Finance Department

Q3: Can I avoid tax by placing orders separately and making each order less than TWD 2,000?

Healthy food

< Imported personal parcel real-name authentication>

From April 16, 2020, if the package has not been authenticated by real name, it can be released for customs clearance for the first time, but it will not be accepted for customs clearance for the second time. .

It is recommended to apply for real-name authentication before placing an order, and the registered name and phone number should be the same as the name and phone number filled in when placing the order.
You can use the EZ WAY mobile APP launched by the Customs Administration of the Ministry of Finance for real-name authentication ( download link ) .

After the real-name authentication is completed, when the goods are randomly inspected in the future, the mobile phone will receive the appointment notification message pushed by EZ WAY. After confirming that the declaration contents are consistent, the customs clearance process will start, and the customs clearance progress can be confirmed through EZ WAY.

A: As long as the quantity you purchased does not exceed the application limit for self-use medicines at the customs (the total number of medicines does not exceed 12 bottles and 1200 medicines), you can get your medicines through application even when the medicines are stuck by the customs.

Generally speaking, the customs will send you a notice asking you to apply for the import consent form for drugs for your own use. As long as you follow the application steps provided to you by the customs, bring your ID card and self-use drug closing certificate, and we will provide you with drug information for your application.
